Everyday Sunshine – The Story Of Fishbone

I recently attended the screening of Everyday Sunshine – The Story of Fishbone at the Whistle Stop in South Park.  I’d already seen the film, but I wanted to see old faces, not to sound arrogant, but I’m an old school Fishbone fan.  Fishbone is the one of those bands that really should have captured a bigger piece of the pie.  Was it because they were black?  Not sure, I remember one of my favorite shows I ever witnessed, but odd in it’s selection of bands, Public Enemy, Living Color and Fishbone.  What is the common denominator in that group of bands?  I was color blind and Fishbone was red hot!  They had a hand sign and a chant and they played Ska!  They were and are still one of my favorite bands!  They were like no other and the story is amazing!  Not sure of any more screenings in San Diego, but it was good to see some old friends…
